MAP Theatre is totally bummed out to announce that, due to an unfortunate series of events, we (in partnership with our director Kelly Kitchens) have decided to postpone our production of The Art of Bad Men, by Vincent Delaney. We are not cancelling it, but we are delaying it; it will not open at The Schmee in October.
While it was an incredibly difficult decision for us and although our hearts are rather broken about it, we all agree that it is the best decision we can make. We are committed to putting up this play in the beautiful manner that it deserves, and a few recent hurdles caused us to question the likelihood that we could achieve that goal by our scheduled opening night without undue compromise.
We are already working to find a new time frame for this production ASAP, and Kelly will remain on-board as director. All of our team members have expressed the desire to continue the journey with us (at least in theory, schedules permitting), and we are grateful for their trust and faith.
Many thanks to The Art of Bad Men team, and to the larger community for your ongoing support. We adore you, and we are sorry to deliver this news. Please don't hesitate to contact with any questions or feedback you might have. We’ll answer the questions as best we can, and we will take your feedback to heart.
